About Jeanette Buerling
Jeanette up close and personal:

You won’t find glamor at Jeanette Buerling’s house in the mountains of Santa Monica. The blue-white painted beach cottage conveys a down-to-earth feeling. Once inside, you will notice a cozy couch out of white cloth in front of the fireplace, and massive oak wood tables.
The petite 46-year old woman from Germany has worked for more than twenty years in script development and production and financing of international film- and TV projects.
It all started back in 1989 in Cologne, when she worked as a production assistant at the large nationwide TV station “RTL.” There, she worked on the German equivalent to American shows such as “Jeopardy” and “The Price is Eight.” When shows like these started fading out due to decreasing audience approval, she went to Hollywood and started an internship. Back in Germany, she was suddenly the only one with “Hollywood experience” on her plate, which opened her doors to producing TV films in Munich. Five years later, in 2000, she applied at the Green Card Lottery to try her luck in getting a work permit for the U.S. After receiving it, she grabbed her 11-year old daughter and moved to Los Angeles. It was her chance for starting a career as a film producer in Hollywood.
Since then she has produced and financed over 45 film and television projects with a production volume of over $250 million.
Her recent films starring Academy Award winning actors such as Halle Berry (Catwoman), Forest Whitaker (The King of Scotland) , Adrien Brody (The Pianist) and box office magnets Jason Statham (The Transporter), Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler) , 50 Cent (aka Curtis Jackson) (Boiler Room), Alexander Skarsgard (True Blood), Cam Gigandet (Twilight).
Jeanette Buerling is the CEO of the film finance and production Company Magnet media Group. Its mission is to be a self-sustained, international media company, exploring resources and contents that brings the utmost value to the screen.
